Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refund rules for sponsored content, digital advertising, and related DesignRise services

Effective date: August 31, 2026

Our goal is a fair and transparent resolution.
Because DesignRise services are prepared and delivered individually, refund eligibility depends on whether work has started, how much of the agreed service has already been completed, and whether content or an advertising placement has already been published. This Policy forms part of our Terms & Conditions.

Quick overview

Before work begins
Eligible for a full refund.
After work begins
A partial refund may be available for the uncompleted portion.
After delivery or publication
Normally non-refundable, except for non-delivery, material non-conformity, or mandatory legal rights.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to payments made to DesignRise for digital services, including sponsored articles, guest posts, featured articles, brand mentions, banner advertising, homepage placements, and other individually agreed digital advertising services.

DesignRise does not sell or ship physical goods under this Policy. All deliverables and placement confirmations are provided electronically.

2. Cancellation Before Work Begins

The Client may request cancellation before DesignRise begins any substantive work and before an advertising placement goes live.

If no substantive work has started, the Client is eligible for a full refund of the amount paid for the cancelled service.

3. Cancellation After Work Has Started

If the Client requests cancellation after DesignRise has started research, editorial review, writing, editing, design, campaign preparation, technical setup, or other agreed work, but before final delivery or publication, DesignRise may issue a partial refund for the uncompleted portion of the service.

The refundable amount is calculated as:

Amount paid − reasonable value of work already completed = refundable amount

The value of completed work is determined using the accepted quote, agreed milestones where applicable, and the proportion of the documented scope already completed. DesignRise will provide the Client with a written explanation of any deduction.

4. Completed, Approved, or Published Services

A service is normally non-refundable after the Client has approved the final material, the agreed digital deliverable has been supplied, or sponsored content has been published in accordance with the accepted quote.

A change of mind, change in the Client’s marketing strategy, dissatisfaction with traffic or sales results, or failure to achieve an expected search-engine result does not create a refund right where DesignRise delivered the agreed service.

This limitation does not apply where the service was not delivered, materially differs from the accepted quote, contains a material error attributable to DesignRise that cannot reasonably be corrected, or where a refund is otherwise required by applicable law.

5. Banner and Time-Based Advertising Placements

  • Before the placement begins: the Client may cancel and receive a full refund.
  • After the placement goes live: the elapsed or already delivered placement period is non-refundable if the placement complies with the accepted quote.
  • Multi-period prepayment: complete future periods that have not started may be refunded following Client cancellation, unless the accepted quote expressly identifies a non-refundable discounted package.
  • Material interruption attributable to DesignRise: DesignRise will first offer an equivalent extension of the placement period. If an extension is not reasonably possible or accepted, a proportional refund may be issued for the materially undelivered period.

6. Editorial Rejection or Prohibited Content

DesignRise reviews requests before payment whenever reasonably possible. If materials supplied after payment violate applicable law, third-party rights, payment-provider rules, or DesignRise editorial standards, DesignRise may ask the Client to replace or correct those materials.

If the Client does not provide acceptable replacement materials and the service cannot proceed, DesignRise may cancel the order. Any refund will be calculated based on the amount paid minus the reasonable value of review, preparation, or other work already completed. No deduction will be made for work that was not performed.

7. Cancellation or Non-Delivery by DesignRise

If DesignRise cannot provide a paid service for reasons attributable to DesignRise, the Client may choose, where reasonably available, between:

  • an agreed replacement service or revised schedule;
  • a full refund for a service that was not provided; or
  • a proportional refund for the materially undelivered part of a partially completed service.

8. Corrections Before a Refund

If a delivered service materially differs from the accepted quote, the Client should notify DesignRise promptly and describe the issue. Where the issue can reasonably be corrected, DesignRise may first offer a correction, replacement, republication, or equivalent placement at no additional charge.

If the material issue cannot be corrected within a reasonable period, the Client may be eligible for a full or proportional refund depending on the affected part of the service.

9. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

Send the request to partnership@design-rise.com with the subject line “Refund Request – [invoice or payment reference]”.

Include:

  • the Client’s full name and company name, if applicable;
  • the email address used for the order;
  • the payment date and amount;
  • the WayForPay payment, invoice, or order reference;
  • the purchased service;
  • the reason for the cancellation or refund request; and
  • any relevant screenshots, links, or correspondence.
For your security: never send a complete card number, CVV/CVC security code, online-banking password, or one-time verification code by email.

10. Review and Processing Time

DesignRise will normally acknowledge a complete refund request within three business days and communicate a decision or request additional information within five business days.

An approved refund will normally be initiated through WayForPay within seven business days after approval. The issuing bank and payment system may require additional time to credit the funds to the Client’s account. DesignRise cannot control the bank’s processing period.

If additional information is required to identify the transaction or assess completed work, the review period begins when the requested information is received.

11. Refund Method and Currency Conversion

Approved refunds are processed through the original WayForPay transaction and returned to the same payment card or payment method whenever technically possible. DesignRise may issue a full or partial refund depending on eligibility under this Policy.

Refunds cannot normally be redirected to another person, bank account, or card. If the original payment method is no longer available, the Client may be asked to provide additional information, and the available method will depend on WayForPay and applicable legal requirements.

For international cards, the Client’s bank or payment system may apply currency conversion. Exchange-rate movements or bank charges may cause the amount shown in the Client’s account currency to differ from the amount originally displayed. DesignRise does not control those rates or charges.

12. Duplicate or Unauthorized Transactions

If the Client believes a payment was duplicated, processed for an incorrect amount, or made without authorization, the Client should contact DesignRise immediately at partnership@design-rise.com.

DesignRise will review the transaction details and, where appropriate, initiate a correction or refund through WayForPay. Contacting DesignRise first may allow the issue to be resolved more quickly, but it does not limit any mandatory rights the Client may have with their bank or under applicable law.

13. Client Delays and Inactivity

If the Client delays providing required materials, feedback, approval, or access, the delivery schedule will be extended by the resulting delay. A delay caused by the Client does not by itself create a right to a refund.

If prolonged inactivity prevents completion, DesignRise will attempt to contact the Client and propose a revised schedule. Any later cancellation will be assessed according to the amount of work already completed under Section 3.

14. Mandatory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Policy excludes or restricts any consumer right, remedy, warranty, cancellation right, or refund right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law. Where mandatory law provides the Client with greater protection, that law prevails.

15. Changes to This Policy

DesignRise may update this Policy when services, payment procedures, or legal requirements change. The version in effect on the date of the Client’s payment applies to that transaction unless a later version is required by law or is more favorable to the Client.
